Jst1God

Jen and I were driving earlier this evening and we found ourselves wedged behind a minivan sporting a license plate that read "JST1GOD". I remember commenting to Jen that this is really stupid. It's a straw man argument. Here these people are in the middle of one of the world's largest Judeo-Christian populations preaching the novel concept of monotheism. Do they think they are offending some terrorist group out there by claiming they worship the one true god, 0r are they just out to insult all the 1.2 Billion Hindus out there?
What? The President hasn't declared a war on Militant Hinduism?
I guess this is the same family that joins PETA to protest animal sacrifice at the Jerusalem Temple. But I guess it's good that these folks are standing up for something, even if there's little valor in it when they're not about to be fed to the lions.

Anyway, that rant aside, time for the exciting news: Jen and I got a dog! She's a Beagle-German Shepard mix, and we picked her up on Sunday from Tooele. Apparently they do things a little differently out in the country. When you get a dog here in Salt Lake, you are asked a battery of questions designed to guage your worthiness of adopting. You are forced to pay a large sum of money to show you are serious, and you are required to get the animal fixed, and get it's shots.
Out on the other side of the mountain, we were asked for $10 and the lady at the county shelter gave us her blessing. I guess the ASPCA has less clout over there.

Yeah, but what if you wanted to adopt a lion?

I think they frown on feeding Christians to lions these days, even if they are losers in minivans with vanity plates.
I don't have a problem with Christians, just preachy evangelicals who feel the need to advertise. Besides, do you have any idea what the pet rent on a lion would be? Hell, do you have any idea how big of a pooper scooper I would need?

Maybe that's just all the god they want at this particular time.

'Just the one god today, any more and I may just explode.....erm....officer?'
