More Wedding Jitters

I nearly had a heart attack when I looked at the calendar this morning. We have 8 weeks left until the wedding. I feel totally unprepared. Never mind that we have almost every major detail taken care of, I still feel like the clock is ticking down to midnight and I'm the pumpkin coach (Yes, I'm secure enough in my masculinity to make a Cinderella analogy).
I did find the groomsmen gifts for two of my wedding party, though. Enoch and Kristin are both members of my line, and they will be married as of this Thursday. I won't mention what the gifts are since they may be reading this, but it is something they can use as a married couple.
Oh yeah, to add to my stress levels, I am trying to come up with something to say at their reception. I have been honored by being asked to speak at the event, and have no idea how best to approach the situation.
Kristin stipulated that I am not to be crude or offensive, which automatically rules out half my ideas for jokes and wit. That leaves sincerity and nostalgia, which should serve as adequate substitutes. I still would have liked to get at least one naughty joke in there, though...

On a completely unrelated note, I did come across a very funny blog the other day. I'll look for the link and post it when I find it.
Cheers for now.

Yeh, I feel nervous as well. I am focusing my nervousness on getting my mother of the groom dress. I found one but I'm going to keep looking. I remember when I got married the first time I did the same damned thing.

I'm so glad you are writing this blog, it is a nice way to hear about what is going on in your life and your thoughts, my little pumpkin.

No worries, Dan! I'm sure you'll be the Prince Charming when the clock has run its course! Still, you should let Jen know that glass slippers are a bad idea... Not that I'm afraid she'll get cold feet, but that I know she'll be stressed about tripping enough without the help of fragil footwear. Keep in touch!
