25

One month left until I hit the big 2-5. Some people wonder why I think that age is such a big landmark, so let me explain. Thus far, every birthday in my life could be measured in decades or years, but this is quite simply the first birthday that can be measured in quarters of a century.
In addition, when one factors in the male life expectency at birth of 75 years, that puts me at one third of my life. It really can't be summed up any more depressingly than that.
Of course, the glass-is-half-full spin on that is that I am only 10% through my adult life.
I'm sure Elisia can appreciate this point, as she is exactly one day older than me.
Meh, i'm sure i'll bitch about it again as October approaches.

Another cool thing is that it's the last age for 24 years whose square root is prime. The last time you were an age whose prime was a square root was 16 years ago.

My darling boy,
Isn't it cool that you have so much of your life ahead of you and you've acomplished so much already? A beautiful wife, a pretty dog, multiple family members and friends who adore you!!! At this age, some people are still sitting around stoned wondering what their navel looks like in the sunlight...
love forever, your really old mom
