Despite all my overtime, it seems things are not too terribly busy at work tonight. I'll take this opportunity to note that I was just invited to join the beta for a new version of Blog*spot. I'm currently in the process migrating my blog's html code over to the new system. The new beta is very picky about closing xml tags, so i'm getting all sorts of flak about my hastilly written code. I'll have to pick it apart and put it back together again... all this just to sort blog entries by topic. I hope it ends up being worth it: you all probably won't even notice once I make the switch.

I'm pretty sure I'll be noticing a difference. It seemed to render a little funny before. (I just figured it was a work in progress)
Oddly enough this matter of closing tags is the reason why I like lisp syntax over XML syntax.
Instead of
text area
you can have
(a :href "somelink" (b "text") "area")
Instead of matching close tags all you need is a close paren ")".
XML is not really suitable for human production. But, using it as a form of torture... NOW your getting somewhere!
oops... looks like you'll have to view source to see my html example :)
yeah, no kidding xml is a pain. I've just decided i'm going to wait on the advanced options, and i'll probably just set up a temp site for smart-ass commentary on current events. Of course I look forward to your comments there as well.
I want to join beta, is that a fraternity or something? No one ever invites me to join anything. I'm jealous.
Meh, it's overrated.
